Community Connections

Program Description

Community Connections engages participants in many different types of community-based recreational and educational activities. YATC members assist with a variety of these activites which including the popular "Ride Beside Me" program and community access training. This training involves individualized training on how to use public transportation including the COTA Bus System. It also offers instruction on how to use the internet, safety and assertiveness training, and how to recognize environmental cues.

Activities are offered at various times during each 12-week session.

Location

The majority of activities take place in the community though select activities may take place at one of the four ARC sheltered employment workshops in Columbus.

There is no cost to participants currently placed in any of the ARCs.
